SARN-RBM Supports South Africa to Host SADC Malaria Day Events
BUNGENI, POLOKWANE, SOUTH AFRICA, 11 November, 2011: The 2011 SADC Malaria Day Events were held in the Bungeni Community in Limpopo Province of South Africa – Hosted by the National Malaria control Program (NMCP). The commemoration organized jointly by the South Africa Department of Health, SADC Secretariat and SARN Secretariat was attended by SADC Health Ministers from Angola, Mozambique and South Africa, Senior health officials from most SADC countries, SADC Secretariat, SARN Secretariat, partners (from the region), Bungeni community (school children, residents, community leaders, church leaders, military, police, health workers).
